Wow, the days sure fly by lately! I can't believe how many people signed up for the challenge! 83 up till now!! It's gonna be a daytime job (or in my case rather a night-time job) to keep up with all the new entries. I will have to restrict it to 2 times a week or so, otherwise I'll never be able to get my faces done ;-)
Today's face is graphite, coloured pencil en acrylics. I made it in my journal, scanned it, and then I used Photoshop to paste it on a background of one of the paintings that I'm currently working on, and to add text to it. Lately I'm into a phase that I want to add text or poetry to everything. The poem (well, it's only part of it) is from Isabelle Cooper.
Here she is:
Another stunner Denthe... love the finishing touches in Photoshop... and yes it is going to be a BIG month... just fabulous that so many people are signing up...

ReplyDeleteSo love her !!! Love the words too! It will a fun and busy busy month!!!
ReplyDeleteWords and faces. What a great combo. I have a love/hate relationship with adding words to my pictures. I'm not sure what that's all about. Do I add what I'm thinking about at the moment, or let the picture speak for itself? I think part of it is a fear of putting words out there. To go along with the fear of putting artwork "out there"! I'm following you and looking forward to seeing your faces throughout the month.
ReplyDeleteI love your colorful artwork. I see you're a student of Flora Bowley. I recently discovered her and fell in love with her art. Her new book arrives any day now!
As a redhead, I always love redheads. So nice!
