Today I brought 2 of my paintings and my mosaic to the Redcliffe Cultural Centre. They will be on display in the foyer there from the 25th of November until the 23rd of December. So if you're in the area: hop on in! These are the paintings I brought in:
"Celebrate yourself" - 60x60cm (23,6" x 23,6")- acrylics on canvas
You can see this painting from start to finish in this blogpost here
"Still, like air, she'll rise"- 60x60cm (23,6" x 23,6") - acrylics on canvas
You can see the "birth" of this painting in this blogpost ....
That's it for today. Linking this again to AEDM. Thanks so much for visiting today! See you tomorrow :-)
i wished i lived close by so i could see these paintings in person! they look so good online but never quite as dramatic as the REAL THING!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous gorgeous paintings - I think celebrate yourself is one of my favourite of yours. I love how the circles near the bottom of the picture give the impression of depth as if it's a dance floor for the figures to let loose on! Your doodles are gorgeous- I'm also going through a doodle revival - it's funny how you forget how much you enjoyed something when you haven't done it for a while.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colours! I love you palette in both paintings
ReplyDeleteThat comment from Sarah is me! I forgot I was signed into my old gmail account, so I'll say it again Beautiful colours! I love your palette in both paintings
ReplyDelete:)
your doodle is fantastic, so much movement and intricacy....love it. and the paintings are always vibrant rich moments in time. 'Celebrate Yourself' is a big fave because of dance, circles and color. I love the way you shaded around them just to show the shape....amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the doodle.... in fact, I would think it is so much more than a "doodle" - or at least what I have thought of as doodles in the past. :~)
ReplyDeleteYou are so talented... I trust your paintings will sell as they are stunning. They are alive. They have a heart beat... which I imagine is yours - partnering with the creative process itself.
Happy AEDM!
wow het zijn weer prachtige creaties, vooral die zwart wit zentangelachtige doodles vind ik errug mooi!
