Working on my calendar ....

Thanks so much for your lovely comments on my calendar girls! It's even more fun to do when other people like it ☺

Finished two more last night but didn't get around to posting them. So here they are:

And I even made a one-liner!

That's something to keep in mind when making art ... ☺. I remember finding this quote just when I'd been struggling for hours painting a face. I just couldn't get it right and started over so many times, got really frustrated in the end, and to top it all off I didn't like the end result at all. So when I found this quote, I wrote it all around her head, because, even though it wasn't how I wanted it, I learned how NOT to do it. In the end, it all comes down to practice, practice, practice. And just trying out things. And most importantly: never giving up!

Well, that's it for now. I'll be back on Wednesday with another inspiring artist post. Thanks for stopping by, hope you're having a lovely day!

  1. Once again, a splendid job. I especially love the girl's hair with the Rudyard Kipling quote. He actually visited the city that I live nearest to. There is a Kipling Street and the band called "Big Sugar" wrote a song about his writings about the city. The song is called,"All Hell For a Basement". It is about the city that I grew up in in Alberta, Canada. Thanks for the inspirational words and tips to keep on trying! I look forward to seeing your art each time I notice that you have posted!
