Calendars are ready! And Inktober has started ....

Last week was gone before I knew it, so no blogpost for me. But this week I'm back. With two new calendars :-) An English one and a Dutch one. In the sidebar you can see the front of each calendar and if you click it it'll bring you straight to my Lulu-shop.

Here are the months I didn't show yet. (I'm only showing the English version, the Dutch one has the same images but the words are in Dutch, sometimes translated, sometimes just a different quote):

And here they are together:

I am still working on my map-calendar. Although most of you wouldn't be bothered by the line in the middle where the spine is showing, it bothered me enough to try and find a solution. So I decided to take my journal apart, since it was falling apart already anyway, and I didn't work in it anymore because so many pages had come loose. So I was able to make better scans, and I'm working on making the middle line less visible. Here's one that I did already:

Sometimes the words are very close to the edge of the page, so I have to make a margin around the image in order to get everything on there. It's a bit of work, but I'm trying to have it finished by next week. And when it's finished. I'll have an opening-discount on all my calendars for a few days :-) So keep an eye out for this when you're interested in purchasing a calendar!

As if I didn't have enough on my plate already, I decided to participate in Inktober. Not sure whether I'll be able to do it every day, but I'll try. I purchased some alcohol markers a few months ago and have been wanting to play with them for so long, but somehow I didn't do it. So I think Inktober is the perfect excuse to try them out. And I LOVE them! Here are the first 5 days of Inktober:

And here are some pics of rocks that I painted for a popup-store I'll be selling from during the next 3 months:

Okay, I'll finish here :-) Sharing this with the folks at Paint Party Friday, and looking forward to paying everyone a visit.

But first some funnies!

And then some about Trump, which I find not remotely funny but show what an utter moron and despicable human being he is. I just cannot believe that man, he makes me sick. I wish America would just hurry up and impeach the ass already ... The whole world will be thankful ...

YUK! Do I want this on my blog? Not really.... But I think sometimes it's just necessary to keep in mind how awful he really is. I feel for all the Americans who hate him and have to put up with him every day. I'm happy to say that the people I've met online and consider my online friends are all disgusted by him. I guess with this I want to show my support for them, and urge them to not give up fighting for impeachment....

Don't want to end with Trump, so here are a few to think about ....

Well, you've made it to the end of the post! Thanks so much for your visit. I hope your day will be filled with joy, and that you can enjoy your weekend without worries or fears. Take care and I'll see you next week ♥ ♥ ♥

  20. Wow! You HAVE been very, very busy!!! Love your calendars, your new art AND the Inktobers that you have posted. I wanted to start Inktober...well, I sort of did, and just had the hardest time drawing, which I was doing daily until a couple months ago and hit a dry spell. I am so impressed with all you have gotten done, and your rocks are awesome too! Thank you for the Trump giggles. I always wonder what the rest of the world thinks about him. For me, I have a hard time watching the news anymore and I am so happy I do not have a Twitter account. Take care, thank you for the inspiring artwork, and have a wonderful week. Hugz, Rasz

elke keer,zo ook de stenen..........nog maals prachtig.

    liefs groetjes

  22. Nog maals prachtig, dat moet er staan.
    groetjes Christiene.

  23. I love all of this Denthe. Your art (as always) is gorgeous, and those rocks are amazing! Your calendars are beautiful as well. And those jokes cracked me up - especially the Trump ones. I believe most of the world (including at least half of America) despises this man and sees through his ignorance, stupidity and bigotry. Amazing how ONE man can affect so much of what's happening in the world - in a negative way. I am more happy & proud than ever to be Canadian. :)
