I'm still searching for a new routine. Since the start of June I work 3 days a week, and the other 2 are supposed to be for painting, since I'm also part-time self-employed as an artist. But usually all the time gets taken up by household duties, paperwork and grocery shopping, and all those little time-consuming things that need to be done in a 4-person-household. I wonder when I'll ever find the time to start a new painting, let alone finish one ... :-/
I try not to beat myself up about it, so for now I keep to drawing and doing stuff in my journal.
Here's another inky lady:
And a journal page:
I'll be linking to Paint Party Friday again tomorrow. If you want to play along, have a look! Everyone is welcome!
Only thing left to do: my list of funnies and thinkies :-)
Thanks so much for your visit! Wishing you a great weekend!
I'll be back next week ♥ ♥ ♥
I always enjoy my visit here,, your work inspires me,, each piece tells so much,, you will find the time, the years slip by so quickly, when my children were still home , I struggled to find the time to paint, I thought would I ever have a day just for me to paint, fast forward 15 years to now and my days are my own, for the most part, but its amazing how quickly we transition to a new way of life, I'm 62, I have small grandchildren , my husband I live in an apartment most of the week and we do as we please. The day will come for you as well, in the blink of an eye,,
ReplyDeleteI really like your 'inky lady'! ♥♥♥ ....and the Trump 'cartoon' is priceless! :D
ReplyDeletedamn chores getting in the way of art, hence why the house sometimes looks like a bomb went off. art comes first :p
ReplyDeletevery sad journal page :( nicely done tho :)
Wonderful journal pages and great funnies, thanks. Happy PPF, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteGorgeous journal pages
ReplyDeleteBoth are great and thanks for funnies🤗 Unfortunately Trump is coming to visit us on Sunday 👎 to meet with Putin in Helsinki.
ReplyDeleteHappy PPF and weekend 🦋
Beautiful portraits Denise! Thanks for the funnies as always too:) Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it crazy how that household stuff takes over our art life? It's just wrong! My outdoor life has taken over here- I love working in the yard, but it has been so brutally HOT!
ReplyDeleteYour art,is always inspiring and your messages always resonate with me, so even when you can only squeak out one- I will appreciate it ")
As for the orange headed idiot..I just keep shaking my head in shame. There seems to be no end to this bufoon's indecency. Even now as he is in Britain,I fear how he will embarrass us with the Queen. God help us all-
I continue to pray and vote and speak up-at this point, this is all I can do.
I do hope your weekend is filled with all good things my dear sweet friend!
hugs from America!
Jackie xoxo

ReplyDeleteLovely pieces! Always enjoy your funnies and thoughts, that cat one is just great.
ReplyDeleteI have been so busy that art time has been hard to find as well. I love your drawings. They are eye catching and then the sayings are heart catching. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to this post weekly. Love "fly" painting. I am trying to keep my mouth shut after this move... maybe If I don't have to say just everything I am thinking, I'll get along better lol.
ReplyDeleteLove the tantrum baby, and the doctor's advice. I've often wondered about that. My BIL once asked us not to use the power windows in his new car so we wouldn't use it up! It only has so many ups and downs he said! LeeAnna
Such a lovely post! Sorry it's been ages since I've visited, like you, I'm trying to fit it all in. I think it's great that you're finding time to journal, doing a little most days is what keeps the creative juices flowing. Have a lovely weekend. x
