That said, I managed to draw a face in ink again. It´s supposed to be a lyricsgirl, but I didn´t add the lyrics yet. So for now it´s just the face:
I have also been trying to work out how to finish my project in our toilet. I have painted quite a few figures in there already, you can see here how it's looking now:
Now I need to somehow make it look finished. When I first started this project, I painted some canvases in the same colours, so I could experiment on these in case I got stuck on my walls. So that's what I did now: I painted some figures on there as well, so now they look a bit like my toilet walls, and I'm going to try out some things before doing it on my walls. These are the 2 canvases that I'm playing with:
I like how the figures just seem to come out of the background, hidden in part by all the other things going on, and I want to keep this but at the same time make it look more finished. It doesn't look finished at the moment, it needs something more. Maybe some black lines or something. I don't know.... Any suggestions? Feel free to share :-)
That's it for now. Linking to Paint Party Friday, and sharing some funnies of course, to end the week with a laugh:
and isn't that true!?
So here's wishing that all of you have or will find such a place! Thanks for being here, I'll be back next week ♥ ♥ ♥
Love the face, and your toilet and canvases are fantastic. Happy PPF, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteOh, renovating that linger os, is stressing and painful!!
ReplyDeleteI also skip 29faces this time, haven't got inspiration enough.
That's a pain about your house. They have a way of doing that, but finding defects you didn't know about is always discouraging. So is living with things never getting finished- which is my house. Loving you bathroom. I think I could sit in there for hours! ha-ha. It is is looking beautiful. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteDenise, what a bummer about your house "( Even our new single wide trailer had defects so i guess "new" no longer means new! Hopefully, the work will lighten up soon.
ReplyDeleteMeantime your lyric lady is beautiful!!
And as for the toilet, yes, maybe some black lines here and there- I think that is a good option!!
sending hugs,Jackie xx
Some good joke snippets. That carpet - wonder folks haven't been killed on that thing. Bathroom is looking wonderful as are your new canvases! xox
ReplyDeleterenovations-ugh-until all is completed! Love the look of your toilet room, and your lyric girl is so pretty with her loose strands of ahir. Great funnies! Happy PPF and happy weekend too!
ReplyDeleteSuper beautiful drawing, Denise. Love your bathroom walls. Gorgeous colors.
ReplyDeleteI understand completely about the challenge. The face today is amazing as is all your art. I wish I could do something bold in my bathroom. I rent so that will not work. Love yours!
ReplyDeleteI love your lyricgirls eyes, so kind and dreamy!
ReplyDeleteThe toilet is unbelieveble‼ Canvas arts are very beautiful.
Happy weekend ♥
I really like your ink sketch and the bathroom is gorgeous! I love the colours and design!
ReplyDeleteLove that face!! The bathroom is gorgeous. As much as I love bold black lines it's too far removed from your natural style. You need to just step away for a bit until you are ready to add more...I looked at your gallery to do some comparison...my only suggestion would be more intuitive....not contrived dark shading in areas...maybe more small details. But you will know exactly what to do WHEN the time is right. It may be in a month or two...who knows...but you'll know!! Carry on with other pressing things...once those are out of the way it will free you creativity even more!! Thanks for sharing and always inspiring!
ReplyDeleteHugs Giggles
lovely green eyes on your face :) your bathroom is great, I'm sure the council here would kill me if I painted ours like that lol or maybe not considering the house had horrible patterned wallpaper when we moved in (now long gone)
ReplyDeleteIMHO I don't think the canvases need anything. I like them just as they are! ♥♥♥♥ (PS great funnies, as always!) :D
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry re you rproblems with your home - the one time we 'owned' a house it seemed as much a hidden source of money-draining strife as anything else. it made me view landlords in a new light for sure!
ReplyDeletebut i have to say i just can't get over your bathroom! that is the one thing that makes me want to buy again, the idea of having such a marvelous restroom. It's such a great idea too, we spend such an interesting part of our day in there, why not make it inspiring?
I'm sorry to hear about the defects delaying your house renovations-that must be so frustrating. As for your bathroom, I just had a look through at your last intuitive painting and I can see what you mean about the bathroom not looking finished. Your paintings had a way of making the subjects stand out from the background without the need of black lines, I'm not sure how you did it but can you do the same on the bathroom walls? There also seemed to be more colours blending in and out of each other in your paintings, are you able to do that? I hope you get your renovations finished soon as it's Breen way to long since you finished one of your stunning paintings.

ReplyDeleteI decided to do the challenge but not stress on the days that I just don't have it in me to work on something. There will be those days this time I'm sure. Love your ink drawing and the toilet is looking amazing ♥♥♥ Sorry the renovations are not going as desired. That can be so frustrating!
ReplyDeleteIt makes sense not to do a challenge when life is full of challenges.
ReplyDeleteLovely to see what you have been creating.
liefs groetjes Christiene.
love your work in the toilet!! i once painted my bathroom like a fish aquarium. artists paint on just about anything, right!? sorry to hear about your house troubles. the joys of home ownership!
ReplyDeleteHorrendous to live with ongoing. .Love you art. I just moved into an apt. that I didn't know had flooded, 2 weeks later had to repack what I had unpacked and moved to another apt. Grief. Then I found out why. . .God does have a sense of humor, I just can't see it at the time. Blessings, Janet
ReplyDeleteLove your black and white face. She is beautiful! Your artwork in your toilet is amazing and inspiring. I can understand not doing a Challenge with all you have going on. Hugs, Rasz
