But I did manage to work a bit on one of my new calendars. This is the calendar with parts of paintings and journalpages. Here are some new pages that I made (click on the mages to get a bigger picture):
I am crazy about this last poem, again one from Warsan Shire. She writes so beautifully, I can just keep re-reading her poems all night.
Only a few more pages and this calendar will be finished. It'll be for sale in my Lulu-shop again. Next I'll make a calendar with sketches.
That's all for this week. Not much, but for tomorrow I've scheduled in some hours to work on my big canvas before I go to paint in our house again. It's a lot of work, but I love how a simple layer of paint can totally transform a room, and immediately make it more our own instead of someone else's house.
Linking up to Paint Party Friday, and also to Show your Face, although again these faces are not new, but hey, they were made before Show your Face existed so I guess it's all right to post them there :-)
And here's my funny for this week:
lol.... perfect for when you don't have time ....
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend! Thanks for joining me here ♥ ♥ ♥

ReplyDeleteLOVE your calendar pages ♥
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pieces! Great poem you are so right. Happy to say our country may be on the path to healing as of the 19th. I love how a coat of paint cleans everything up and gives it a new start too!! My first artistic endeavors started very early with painting my furniture and lamps I didn't like... A coat of paint can change everything and it has for me over the years! Enjoy the journey!

Your calendar pages are beautiful and I love the quotes you have used. That last one is a good one for sure. My feet are cold and if I had some yarn, I would make those slippers, lol! Have a great week. Still blog hopping from PPF. Rasz #60
ReplyDeleteIt's so exciting that you've moved into your home and are in the process of making it your own - mind you we're nearly living here 3 years and still have some way to go to completely put our mark on all the rooms (still a couple of horrible carpets to replace but we're getting there!) I love the look of the calendar and those quotes are wonderful especially the last two - the idea of the doors gave me chills in a lovely way - I love that idea and the poem is beautiful - I must find out more about the poet thanks for sharing her. x
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful bright colors. I love what you've done. These pieces are simply beautiful.
ReplyDeleteEach poem has so much meaning, difficult to choose a favorite. Love the details in the imagery, see something different with each look. Thank you for stopping by earlier.
