So what did I do this week? I made sure I finished my first calendar, and I'm in the process of finishing my second one. Why two, you might ask, since I have so much to do already. And I don't really have an answer to that, only that I thought it would be nice to have 2 different calendars this year, and once I have something in my head, I want to do it, even if it means losing sleep over it. I'm a bit weird that way....
Anyway, here's the first one:
This is the cover, with a detail of every page that's in it. It's a 12-month calendar, starting January 2016, and it's available for purchase here. When you go to the link, you can see "preview" underneath the image of the cover, and if you click on that you can see every single page. Here are some that I didn't show yet:
You can see the other pages in previous blogposts, here and here.
I'm hoping to finish the second calendar later today. Here are some images that are already finished:
In between I threw some more layers on my big canvas, but no images are appearing to me yet, so I'll just keep going :-)
That's it for this week. Linking this to Paint Party Friday and to Show you Face. In November there's a special theme going on in Show your Face, "In The Style Of", where you examine your favorite artists and incorporate what they do in your own faces. Should be fun!
Thanks for your visit! Hope you'll have a great day, and a relaxing weekend!
Here's my funny for this week:
Haha, I sometimes feel like the little one after walking our dog ... ;-)
Hope to see you next week! ♥ ♥ ♥
Wonderful art, as always. Happy PPF, Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThe ready calendar is really gorgeous, think I visit your shop...
ReplyDeleteThe mixed media style is interesting and quite familiar to me. Love your sketches.
Thanks for a smile, too ;)
Happy Halloween ♥
Great faces. I love your use of those beautiful colors and the little bit of playfulness in each.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous work. I hope you are reworking some of the calendar pieces into cards and such to sell at fairs. You have so much work already done is it possible to sell things that haven't been seen where you live now? Even the furniture you have done.. did it sell? Maybe rework your older calendars too!
ReplyDeleteI could even see a little quote book with all your characters! Wishing you all the best...These are exciting times...you will be settled before you know it, and all will be well!
Hugs Giggles
Your paintings are so complex and detailed and wonderful to look at.
ReplyDeleteI'm not surprised you are stressed with all you say in the first paragraph, sounds like an impossible schedule.
Good luck!
Lovely calendar
ReplyDeleteHappy PPF, hope you have all the energy to get through with your chores

DeleteDenthe, you have so much you have set yourself to do! I am just the same and I set myself difficult goals. Please don't run away because I love seeing your beautiful art. Even if you don't achieve everything you set yourself to do you have already created so much beauty and given so much pleasure. I really hope you will be able to relax and have moments of peace in amongst all the busyness. Thinking of you and wishing you tranquillity. xx

Hi Denise, I just ordered the ART of Denthe calendar which I love because of the abstract nature and pure color. I can't imagine moving again! It seems you just got there! I am sure all will fall into place for you and you will do well with your two markets.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to tell you I just joined Society6 because of you. But I don't know how you ever get found?! I can't even find my own stuff.

ReplyDeleteSounds like you have a lot on your plate just now! I don't envy you the house painting or the Christmas fairs but I'm sure you'll get there and will have some wonderful pieces to sell at both. Your calendars are both lovely. I love how they are both so different but still instantly recognisable as you!
