Í am going to make a coloring book out of these doodles. Still figuring out whether to bring it to a local printer or self-publish it on Lulu, where I do my calendars. But I'll first make some more :-)
I tried working on my intuitive painting today, but alas, I couldn't find any figures in there. Nothing was jumping out to me, at least nothing that spoke to me, so in the end I got out my paints and just splashed some more layers on there. A painting can never have too many layers I think. Maybe I will start to see some figures now .... If there's one thing I learned, it's that you can't force these things.
It was such a beautiful day today, the first really warm (hot) day, so I decided to do something I really don't like but that I needed to do outside: start sanding my little side-tables. I bought three small ones at the local recycling shop, and I plan on painting them in bright colours and dots and then try to sell them at the art-markets in summer that I signed up for.
I am linking this as always to Paint Party Friday, and I am linking this face to Art it Friday - Show your Face :
And next week there should be something here for Summer of Color :-)
That's it for now, it's bedtime! Thanks so much for being here, and for leaving your wonderful comments. It's highly appreciated !
And not to forget: my funny for this week :-)
haha, so true :-)
See you next week ♥ ♥ ♥
Doodling is marvelous. I just do not have the patience for it at all. But always admire those who do. xox
ReplyDeleteFantastic doodling, happy PPF, Valerie
ReplyDeleteOh your doodling is absolutely fabulous! Love it!
ReplyDeleteAmazing doodling! Fab! Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous doodle. Happy PPF
ReplyDeleteAlways happy to see your name and what you are up too. I look forward to the progress of the intuitive painting. and love the doodle.
ReplyDeleteYour doodles are so much more than doodles - they're so intricate! As soon as I looked at your painting background I immediately got a sense of an underwater theme - mermaids and lots of seaweed fronds slowly waving back and forth at the bottom of the ocean! Isn't it funny how different people see different things. I'll be really interested to see what your intuition brings out of this one. The tables sound like a great idea - I can't wait to see them. lucky you getting a sunny day - it seems summer has completely forgotten Scotland this year!
ReplyDeleteI was here earlier and I couldn't post a comment darn it!! Anyway I was going to mention that you should video tape yourself doodling and then finishing off those tables....especially while your in the mood for that style....later you can edit them as two separate styles and sell some cheap classes...going on volume!! Or more expensive ones... Just a thought!! Gorgeous work as always!

The coloring book that you're working looks great. I had never heard of Lulu, so thanks for sharing. Happy PPF and Blessings, my friend! #40
ReplyDeleteA coloring book would be so great! I love looking for figures--I see the beginnings of one.
ReplyDeleteI understand about not wanting to doodle. I went through a long spell, over a year, of not wanting to draw or paint faces. I was so bored and uninspired by anything I did, I didn't want to do it anymore. It went on so long that I was convinced I'd never paint a portrait again, but I recently started painting them again. I'm so glad you're back to doodling. I like your paintings, but your drawings are my favorite. :)
ReplyDeleteHet is zo mooi Denise,en je zit vol ideeën,ik ben elke keer gegrepen door wat je laat zien..............

Your detailed "doodles" are fabulous. These colouring books are everywhere now, but your drawing has so many details and different ideas, it would be interesting to colour.
ReplyDeleteI am sure your furniture will be a big hit, just like all of your doodling and art pieces are! Colourful, stunning, thoughtful!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful work! I also love the background on your blog. Gorgeous! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your doodles...so much to look at and notice! I have to say, I saw a figure jump out at me right away from your intuitive painting! I've never approached a project that way: kind of "paint first, and ask questions later," but it seems like it would be such a wonderfully creative and enlightening process.
ReplyDeleteWow your doodle is so detailed. Just fabulous work. Thanks so much for linking up on Show Your Face this week and for the shout out too. Kx
ReplyDeleteThose tables in bright colors with dots are going to be fantabulous. Can't wait to see them. The doodling is so precise. . . I like them. Blessings, Janet PPF
