Calendars are ready! And Inktober has started ....

Last week was gone before I knew it, so no blogpost for me. But this week I'm back. With two new calendars :-) An English one and a Dutch one. In the sidebar you can see the front of each calendar and if you click it it'll bring you straight to my Lulu-shop.

Here are the months I didn't show yet. (I'm only showing the English version, the Dutch one has the same images but the words are in Dutch, sometimes translated, sometimes just a different quote):

And here they are together:

I am still working on my map-calendar. Although most of you wouldn't be bothered by the line in the middle where the spine is showing, it bothered me enough to try and find a solution. So I decided to take my journal apart, since it was falling apart already anyway, and I didn't work in it anymore because so many pages had come loose. So I was able to make better scans, and I'm working on making the middle line less visible. Here's one that I did already:

Sometimes the words are very close to the edge of the page, so I have to make a margin around the image in order to get everything on there. It's a bit of work, but I'm trying to have it finished by next week. And when it's finished. I'll have an opening-discount on all my calendars for a few days :-) So keep an eye out for this when you're interested in purchasing a calendar!

As if I didn't have enough on my plate already, I decided to participate in Inktober. Not sure whether I'll be able to do it every day, but I'll try. I purchased some alcohol markers a few months ago and have been wanting to play with them for so long, but somehow I didn't do it. So I think Inktober is the perfect excuse to try them out. And I LOVE them! Here are the first 5 days of Inktober:

And here are some pics of rocks that I painted for a popup-store I'll be selling from during the next 3 months:

Okay, I'll finish here :-) Sharing this with the folks at Paint Party Friday, and looking forward to paying everyone a visit.

But first some funnies!

And then some about Trump, which I find not remotely funny but show what an utter moron and despicable human being he is. I just cannot believe that man, he makes me sick. I wish America would just hurry up and impeach the ass already ... The whole world will be thankful ...

YUK! Do I want this on my blog? Not really.... But I think sometimes it's just necessary to keep in mind how awful he really is. I feel for all the Americans who hate him and have to put up with him every day. I'm happy to say that the people I've met online and consider my online friends are all disgusted by him. I guess with this I want to show my support for them, and urge them to not give up fighting for impeachment....

Don't want to end with Trump, so here are a few to think about ....

Well, you've made it to the end of the post! Thanks so much for your visit. I hope your day will be filled with joy, and that you can enjoy your weekend without worries or fears. Take care and I'll see you next week ♥ ♥ ♥

Lots of things ...

I managed to almost finish my 2018 calendar this week! Here are a few of the months that are ready:

I had to use pictures of older work in order to get enough images, since I only finished 2 (two!) larger paintings this year .... I'll show the other months next week.

I'm still in doubt about my map-calendar. I would like to make one, and quite a few people asked me about it too, but I'm not sure what to do about the line in the middle that indicates the spine of the journal. Doesn't that look kinda weird in a calendar page? Here's an example:

I have tried to get rid of the lines in Photoshop, but I can't really make it invisible without making everything blurry in the middle. The problem is the text on the map. So I need your help :-) Would it bother you in a calendar page to see those lines? Please tell me in the comments, I would really appreciate your opinion!

I have been quite busy creative-wise this week. Probably felt like I should make up for lost time. It was quite an eye-opener to realize that I only finished 2 large paintings this year.... I made another watercolour-girl. Here are some in-progress shots:

And last but not least: my diary-pages from last week:

I have a lot of things in progress too, for a pop-up shop that I will be part of that starts in October and will be open for 3 months. I'll show those next week.

Will be linking to Paint Party Friday tomorrow.

I'll finish with some funnies :-)

 duhh ....

not sure this one is funny ...

this one is though. Hahahaa :-D

And here are the ones to think about:

Thanks so much for your visit, and if you can spare a minute, please let me know how you feel about the map-calendar. Thanks :-)

Wishing you a wonderful day full of kindness and positive thoughts. I'll be back next week ♥ ♥ ♥
