My market is behind me and in the end I was glad to have participated. Lots of people and they even bought things ;-)
Remember this mosaic?
I finally finished it and it sold right away :-)
After experimenting with different kinds of faces I now decided to make a "real" clay face. I like it better than the last ones I did.
I also made a new mosaic mirror, in the shape of a figure:
Hubby is having a lot of trouble with the fact that she has no arms, but I just wanted a basic shape and not too many details. It's just a matter of preference I guess ...
Meanwhile my group exhibition has started. I was in the gallery today and I love the variety of art on display there. It'll be on until the 24th of September.
It would be nice if I sold some paintings. I have been trying to make a living as an artist since 2013, but it's damn hard. So I finally gave in and decided to follow my first love: psychology. I started working as a psychologist in a group practice with 4 other people, only one day a week for the time-being, but I really enjoy having colleagues again. I'm also doing some extra training, so my schedule is pretty full. Especially with the end of the year lurking around the corner, which means it's time for my yearly calendar.
But I'm going to try to keep blogging every week. I missed it and I missed the interaction with other artists. So I'll be linking to Paint Party Friday again and this weekend I'll finally pay everybody a visit :-)
One thing I also kept up is my daily diary-entries. Here are a few from the weeks when it was still summer ... (already pining for those lazy summer days ...)
That's it for now, except of course for the funnies :-)
and some to think about ....
Thanks for visiting! Hope everyone is safe out there, safe from water and wind and fire and smoke. And from stupidity and ignorance and hate ... Wishing you love and warmth and compassion.
See you next week ♥ ♥ ♥

well so glad to have you back in blogland my friend. I missed your art and humor. Congratulations on that new amazing job. It's so interesting, I studied and wanted to be a psychologist. Didn't go past my first degree, I wanted to work with abused children and realized in my final year of undergraduate that I'd steal them and take them all home! LOL. Prolly should stay an artist so I stay out of jail!

Your journal is fabulous and those girls are super and a bit different from your usual ones...which led me to thinking...what about making stamps and selling those ,maybe through a company?
