It has cost me a bit of night work, but I also managed to finish the wooden heart box for my daughter’s birthday. She thought I had forgotten all about it, so she was really pleased and surprised with it :-)

And for
those of you who live in the area (Moreton
Bay, Queensland, Australia): it’s only a few more
days that my work is on show in the gallery in Redcliffe. On Tuesday I’ll be
working my last day there, and will take everything that’s left home with me,
to pack it all up and ready for the container. It’ll be the end of the year
before I see my stuff again (hopefully!!).
Here’s this weeks’ funny ;-)
Well, that’s
it for this week! Linking this as always to Paint Party Friday, the weekly

real treasures to see.
Thanks so
much for being here, and thanks for leaving your uplifting comments :-)
I hope your
day has been going well, and that your weekend will bring peace and rest (or
excitement for those of you who want that). I’ll be back next week! ♥ ♥ ♥

Your work is so beautiful, I will be curious how you proceed. I'm also not happy with Etsy. I almost never get sales and my new shop is....crickets!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work, as always. Love the cat wit the cobwebs, might have been under my bed! Valerie
ReplyDeleteYou must be so excited about your move and you have reminded me that I still haven't set up my etsy shop, it was a new year resolution of mine! Your work translates beautifully into cards and the gallery wall looks amazing full of your beautiful paintings. ( love that cat ;) )
ReplyDeleteThat box for your daughter is wonderful! As always your art is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteIt will be a bit sad to pack your paintings up but I am hoping there is a huge rush on your work over the weekend and there are very few left for you to take back... Have a wonderful week...xx

ReplyDeleteGorgeous art as usual! But I particularly loved the heart box. I imagined your daughter loved it - just like my girl adore anything I make them.
ReplyDeleteShe will treasure it!

ReplyDeletelove that box - I'm not so happy with Etsy either - been so busy I've let my shop go (4th time!) Hope everything goes well for your move.
ReplyDeleteI just adore your lines which don't tremble at all and I'm envious, too :D
ReplyDeleteYour art work is great. I have been thinking of closing my Etsy shop also. I don't really visit it much and don't update it like I should. I tried Art Fire for awhile, but that didn't work out either. I am not a very good or assertive business person, which I thinks contributes to my lack of sales. Loved the cat.
ReplyDeleteDenthe your artwork is so lovely. Good luck with your move. Hugs! deb
ReplyDeletethat box is so beautiful-as is all of your work! That's a big move you're making-all the best for a smooth transition. It won't be long until you start coming up with more wonderful art inspired by your new home.

ReplyDeleteLove your paintings, Denthe. You have a unique talent to do whimsical, bright art as well as beautiful faces. I know the painted box must have been a big hit. It is beautiful. Bring your cat over to my house. I have places he can clean up.
ReplyDeleteHi Denise, love all your glorious "stuff" - would love a heart box for my grand daughter, so if you acquire more of them would love you to paint one for her. Good luck with your huge move - hope all goes well for you and your family
ReplyDeleteI have bought these boxes years ago, don't even remember where, and I have never seen them again afterwards. But I'll keep your granddaughter in mind when/if I do find them again :-)
Deleteyour art is so interesting and colorful, I love to come visit your blog! I haven't been happy with Etsy either, and was wondering if there was another place to selll my art. I hope you will share if you find a place!

Move's can be so exhausting... I love love love the faces you have in your shop, so elegant and beautiful. I hope the move goes as smoothly as possible... Funny kitty and beautiful box for your daughter.
ReplyDeleteThe purple box is so pretty! And so many great cards! I am totally with you on Etsy. I just put my shop in vacation mode intending to clean out the old stuff, but I'm not too excited about re-opening there. It's lost it's charm and broke everything that made it great.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, poetic paintings - and they look fabulous on that red gallery wall! They really pop with color!
ReplyDeleteI love poems too. I also teach Brazilian Literature. Poetry is like air in my life. I know you must be exhausting with the moving. Take care, my friend!
ReplyDeleteThe heart-box is gorgeous! lovely gallery too :)
ReplyDeleteLoved all your works esp the poetry books :)
