Inktober series

Despite expecting that I would only be doing a few ink drawings, I am still going strong!

I draw every day, it's just the words that sometimes take a while longer.

And I don't succeed in posting every day.

But who cares? I'm enjoying making these ladies.

After I've drawn them I search for a quote that fits them well. They all have their own character and carry their own message, so it can sometimes take a while before I find a quote that fits them.

I try to post on Instagram every day. A lot of people are participating.

Who knows, I might even finish this challenge!

I'm already thinking of maybe making a little booklet out of these ....

But first of course I need to finish my calendars. Hopefully by next week I'll have a few more pages done!

That's it for now. Linking to Paint Party Friday tomorrow. In case you haven't had enough yet: here are my weekly funnies and thinkies :-)

:-(

Thanks for visiting! Enjoy your day, and for those in the path of a storm: stay safe! ♥ ♥ ♥

  1. yes posting everyday doesn't matter, post art when you feel like it, and the whole point is to just get practice :)

  7. I have been following this series on Instagram. They are wonderful. Just an idea - I have a dictionary of quotations; much quicker than searching online.

    1. Didn't think of that yet John, thanks! I usually use Goodreads, you can just give about any keyword and then you get all the quotes that have something to do with that keyword. And they have a lot of quotes. But I need to feel that that quote fits my lady perfectly, and that is what takes a lot of time sometimes ;-)

  8. I wish you would make these into cards (like a deck) and sell them. I would buy thm and I think many women would. It wouldn't have to be a large deck!

  18. oh my Denise! What an awesome set of faces! #4-#7 totally resonate with me!
It has been such a horrific time lately that I am backing off of some of the social media,to:get out of my head". But then I am always fearful if I do that too long, I become part of the problem for not being involved in some way. I meditate on this daily and hope soon to have some light.

I so wish we lived closer,I just know we would have delightful conversation as well as so much fun creating together!
Sending you big hugs from Wolcott,NY Jackie xoxo

    1. oh dear Jackie, don't feel guilty for not being involved. Backing off is necessary sometimes, it doesn't mean you don't care and it certainly doesn't mean you're part of the problem. Hope you'll feel better soon! hugs ♥♥♥
