Auction Puerto Rico

I still didn't receive my calendar, so I'm not putting it up for sale yet, until I've seen with my own two eyes that everything turned out okay. Next week I should have it, so keep your eye on my blog then, since I will do a sale for a few days on all 3 of my new calendars :-)

I managed to get two pieces ready for the online auction for Puerto Rico. Here's more information on it:

If you want to participate and donate art, you can find more information here.

I did another watercolour girl for the auction "You did not break me":

You can find it here if you want to make a bid (it runs from 10/30 to 11/3).

And I also did a mapgirl on one of the loose pages of my roadbook:

You can find her here.

I'm kind of excited since I've never participated in an online auction before. I'm a bit worried no one will make a bid ... Oh well, we'll see. At least I tried. It's important for me since I feel so bad for the people of Puerto Rico, and also, one of my brothers-in-law is from PR and his mother and uncles and aunts still live there (he lives in Belgium). It's the least I can do to try and help a bit.

Well, if you feel inclined, you can still participate! If not, please share the link to the auction on your social media. The more people that know about it, the more money might be made for Puerto Rico.

That's all for this week. No Inktober, no diary-journal. I'm sooo behind. But when the time's right I'll pick it up again, I'm sure.

Thanks for your visit, and thanks for spreading the word about the auction. Here are some funnies to end with a smile :-)

(this one's for Robin ... ;-) )

And of course also some serious ones ...

(isn't this adorable ... ♥)

finished all calendar pages!

It took a lot of patience and time, but I managed to get 12 images of my map faces done for my map calendar :-) I haven't put it up for sale yet, since I always order one calendar for myself first so I can check whether everything looks all right. As soon as I receive my calendar and everything is okay, I'll put it up for sale, together with my other two calendars.

Here are the images that I did this week:

I'm really looking forward to seeing it in "real life";-)

I didn't do anything for Inktober, since my week was super busy. In addition to starting a new job I'm also doing some training, and I'm starting to get the feeling of drowning in information and having no time to digest it. It's very interesting though, but how I'm longing for some time to just relax and paint for a whole day. My next canvas has been standing on the easel behind me and is starting to look very neglected.

I did however find an interesting auction for artists on Facebook, and I'm silently planning on getting something ready for this to sell. Probably one of my watercolour girls. Here's the information:

If you click on the image it should bring you to a document on how you can participate. Next week should be a bit less busy, so hopefully I'll find the time to paint something. I'll keep you informed!

Well, that's it for now! Thanks so much for your visit, and for leaving your wonderful comments. I'll be linking to Paint Party Friday tomorrow, and ending with some funnies :-)

very recognizable, since my son is learning to drive  ....

And the ones to make you think ...

Hope you're having a very nice day, and wishing you a restful and peaceful weekend.
See you next week ♥ ♥ ♥

a bit overwhelmed ...

Phew, what a week! It flew by and was so busy with all kinds of things that I didn't have much time for art. And I really missed playing with my new alcohol markers. I did play a bit, but not nearly as much as I wanted. And it looks as if next week won't be any better....

Anyway, it turns out my plan for finishing my map calendar was way too optimistic. These images take a lot longer to get ready, since I need to make the middle line disappear, and also the text is sometimes really close to the edge of the page, and I need to make sure that it'll still be visible in the calendar. But I did finish a few images. I first wanted to use black borders, but now I decided  to make the border in a colour that's also in the image. And I kinda like that, so I'm going to make all the images like that.

Here are the ones that are finished:

I hope I'll have time to finish the other images next week ...

I only did a few drawings for Inktober. The last one I didn't even use my alcohol markers. When I don't have much time I tend to grab the materials I'm most familiar with, so markers it is ... I'm still making drawings but not really following Inktober. Most people that do Inktober follow the prompts, and I'm not very good with that. Anyway, here are the ones that I finished:

That's it for this week. Still working in my art diary but getting behind .... I'll try to catch up though.

Okay, and now for the funnies :-)

okay, sorry if I'm offending someone with this, but I just find this extremely funny ...

And the more serious ones ....

no words are necessary ...

Linking to Paint Party Friday tomorrow! Have a look there if you want to see what other artists created this week!

Hope you're doing okay out there! Thanks for your visit, and have a great day!
See you next week ♥ ♥ ♥
